Kayak

Your kayak can be a terrific sailboat, capable of zooming you effortlessly across the water, even tacking into the wind.  Inflatable or rigid.  All you need is this sail kit, plus your kayak, plus wind, water, and lifejackets!
It can even go on an inflatable kayak!  Here it is on an Innova Helios II inflatable:

How-to-sail instructions provided for beginning sailors, with tips even an experience sailor may appreciate, specific to this type of sailing craft.
Kit folds to a compact size, just 4 feet long x 1 foot x 1 foot.    
What's Included:  Sail kit consists of 45 sq. ft. (approx.) nylon sail, mast, spars, rigging, mast step (socket), frame that straps to kayak, straps, streamlined stabilizer pontoons on outrigger arms, one steering oar and clamp-on oarpin, 2 leeboards.   Frame consists of front crossbar, 2 telescoping side rails with leeboard mounts, and a rear crossbar.    Also available with inflatable floats instead of rigid for $100 less.  Bonus:  Free sail kit carry bag.  A $39 value.  Sturdy and spacious, with shoulder strap.
Durable and well made:  We've been selling this kit  since 2007 and customers have been very happy with it.  All metal parts are anodized marine alloy aluminum with stainless steel hardware.  Suitable for use in salt water.

We sailed our new 6004 rig [The Any Kayak Upwind Sail Kit] today for the first time, and it was great, even in a really light wind! 1st time setup took maybe ½ hour to 45 minutes with the help of my two teenage sons, will be really easy next time. I will be ordering a second duplicate rig immediately, so look for the order coming through, probably tonight!

My two sons gave your rig the best review you could ask for – my older son (on the right) after trying it, immediately told me “you HAVE to get another one of these!” He knows what he’s talking about; He attended “Maine Maritime Academy Offshore Sailing.” Both sons (16 and 19) are experienced sailors and sail instructors. Their evaluation was that this was a VERY efficient rig that will really fly in a good wind.

My wife and I will be spending a week on Lake Champlain in July, and she also loved the rig when she tried it today, so now that she’s convinced, too, you can look for that order for the second rig coming through right away....
